📖 Poetry and architecture at the foot of Collserola
The route "Verdaguer i Gaudí, poesia i arquitectura als peus de Collserola" bridges two vital sites: Vil·la Joana, the farmhouse where the poet spent his final days until his death in June 1902 (now part of MUHBA), and Torre Bellesguard, which Antoni Gaudí was building during that era and whose gardens inspired Verdaguer's poetry.
While the friendship between Verdaguer and Gaudí is widely known, this tour focuses on the conversation between poetry and architecture that developed at the turn of the 20th century. Due to an outbreak of swine fever that restricts walks through Collserola Park, this ninety-minute activity is temporarily held entirely at Torre Bellesguard.
