📖 The piece

The show looks at how objects are built, materially and conceptually. Alongside sketches and documents revealing how Brossa's object poems came to life, it brings together artists such as Anna-Sophie Berger, Iñaki Garmendia, Michael E. Smith and Carmen de Ayora.

It starts from a line by Brossa himself: "If you like, the secret lies only in knowing how to look". For him, looking was already building.

The Fundació Joan Brossa is housed in La Seca, Barcelona's old royal mint in El Born, and is Barcelona's home for the 'free arts': visual theatre, object poetry, magic, performance and live arts, in the spirit of the poet it is named after. It runs exhibitions, shows and activities all season long.
