📅 Friday 12 February 2027

🕐 8.00 pm

📍 L'Auditori, Sala 1 Pau Casals, Barcelona

🎟️ Tickets from €37

🎼 The programme

  • Robert Schumann: Symphony No. 1 in B-flat major, Op. 38, "Spring"
  • Hector Berlioz: Symphonie fantastique, Op. 14

🎻 The performers

Finnish conductor Klaus Mäkelä, born in 1996, has become one of the most sought-after conductors on the planet in just a few years. With the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, famous for its warm, velvety sound, he moves from Schumann's bright "Spring" to the delirium of the Fantastique, with its march to the scaffold and witches' sabbath.

🏛️ The venue

L'Auditori, designed by Rafael Moneo and opened in 1999 in the Fort Pienc neighbourhood, is home to the Barcelona Symphony and Catalonia National Orchestra and one of the country's great music venues. Its acoustics make it a regular stop for the world's leading orchestras and soloists.

ℹ️ Good to know: arrive about 20 minutes early; the cheapest seats tend to sell out first. Tickets on the BCN Clàssics website.

✨ An essential date for any lover of symphonic music.
