Els Encants Barcelona: the city's big flea market at Glòries

Vintage clothes, furniture, records, tools, lamps and things you didn't know you were looking for. Els Encants is Barcelona's oldest flea market and one of the oldest in Europe, with centuries of history and hundreds of stalls under its huge mirrored canopy at Glòries. 🛍️🪞

🧭 What you will find

Antiques and house-clearance stalls, clothing and accessories, homeware, electronics, books and records. On the ground floor there are also bars and food stands for a break.

First thing in the morning, from 7.45 to 9 am, the market holds its traditional auctions of job lots in their own section, a show in itself.

🏛️ A market with history

Els Encants has been documented since the Middle Ages and has moved several times. Since 2013 it has been housed in this building with a mirrored canopy that reflects all the bustle of the stalls.

ℹ️ Good to know: go early for the best finds and take your time to haggle. It also opens on some public holidays, such as 6 and 8 December. Metro Glòries (L1) or Encants (L2).
