📖 Tracing the legacy of Joan de Gualbes

The guided tour explores the influential Gualbes lineage through Joan de Gualbes i Copons, a Baroque poet, member of the Acadèmia dels Desconfiats, and combatant in the defense of Barcelona in 1714. Serving as an owner of Bellesguard, he bridged the era of King Martin the Humane and Antoni Gaudí by compiling medieval records and depositing them at the Basilica of Sants Just i Pastor to protect them from Bourbon forces.

The route is split into two sessions: a morning visit at Torre Bellesguard, followed by an afternoon journey from Pati Llimona to the Basilica. Attendees will have the rare privilege of viewing the historic Llibre de Bellesguard and the Vera Cruz relic.

Two centuries later, Antoni Gaudí discovered the Llibre de Bellesguard at the Basilica while attending Gregorian chants, a milestone that allowed him to enrich his architecture with extraordinary symbolism.
