📖 Exploring polyphony and artificial intelligence

‘AMA’ represents the first chapter in Maria Arnal’s new musical catalogue. The production brings together voice, dance, and artificial intelligence across fifteen unreleased songs. From a feminist and reflective perspective, the piece approaches the body as an archive of memory and resistance, using the human voice as an instrument of connection.

Developed in collaboration with the Icelandic Intelligent Instrument Lab, the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, and five dancers, the performance explores synthetic voices generated from Maria Arnal’s vocal tone. On stage, the dancers actively modulate these sounds, turning their choreography into choral singing.

🎶 Maria Arnal’s return to the stage

Recognised as one of the most inventive figures in contemporary music, Maria Arnal marks her return to live performance with this project. This show previews her debut solo album, following presentations at international events including Ars Electronica 2025 in Austria and Romaeuropa 2025 in Rome.
