As every year on the Wednesday before Christmas, this gathering brings people together to sing seasonal folk songs. The session welcomes everyone to join in on both well-known holiday tunes and rarer traditional carols passed down through generations.

The bar turns into a warm, family-style setting where visitors and locals join their voices to celebrate the holiday season through oral tradition.

La Taverna del CAT reaches its 33rd edition in autumn 2026 in the Vila de Gràcia. Throughout the season, El Bar del CAT hosts intimate folk sessions, culminating its calendar with this open Christmas carol session.

The initiative is promoted by Centre Artesà Tradicionàrius and Associació Cultural TRAM to support roots music and community culture.
