📖 Love and fragility in the Parisian cold
An opera in four tableaux with a libretto by Giuseppe Giacosa and Luigi Illica, based on Henri Murger's novel. Between a freezing garret and the bustling Latin Quarter, Puccini depicts the daily lives and passions of young artists, where love becomes a sanctuary amid hardship.
This staging by Paolo Gavazzeni and Piero Maranghi brings an intimate Paris to life, featuring stage designs by Leila Fteita and period costumes originally created by Adolf Hohenstein, reproduced by Nicoletta Ceccolini.
🎭 Exceptional casts at the Liceu
The production features extraordinary vocal talent, alternating Mimìs Pretty Yende, Ermonela Jaho, and Carolina López Moreno, alongside Rodolfos Pene Pati, Freddie De Tommaso, Roberto Alagna, and Kang Wang, with Andrzej Filończyk, Artur Ruciński, Sara Blanch, and Serena Sáenz, among others.
ℹ️ Good to know: The performance on 3 January is a LiceUnder 35 event, exclusively open to audiences under 35 years old.
✨ A profoundly moving masterpiece delivering Puccini's timeless emotional power.
