📖 A journey from classical masterpieces to flamenco roots

The programme opens with Joaquín Rodrigo's renowned Concierto de Aranjuez for guitar and orchestra. The concert then delves into the flamenco tradition with Ramón Montoya's Rondeña and original pieces by Alejandro Hurtado, such as La liviana (seguiriya) and Tamiz (alegrías).

The evening pays direct tribute to the maestro Paco de Lucía with his bulería Río de la Miel, as well as collaborative pieces revisited with Andrés Barrios: A Fernanda, Meraki, and the popular song Ojos verdes. The repertoire also features Barrios's own work, including the farruca Ecdysis and his arrangements of traditional folk songs El Vito and La Tarara.
