📖 A choreographed journey through flamenco rhythms
Moving beyond the traditional tablao setup, Gran Gala Flamenco presents choreographies created by acclaimed dance companies from Catalonia and Spain. The staging delivers a comprehensive experience featuring castanets, fans, costumes, and original music.
The performance guides the audience through various traditional palos: the celebratory bulería, the solemn soleá, the dynamic alegría, and the rhythms of tango, guajira, and farruca. The performance language is Spanish.
🎭 Artistic cast and direction
The production is under the artistic direction of Eli Ayala, with musical direction by Juan Gómez "Chicuelo" and Luis Santiago "Tati Amaya". Live music is performed by guitarists Chicuelo, Tati Amaya, Albert Caro, and Diego del Chicuelo, violinist Carlos Caro, and percussionist Jacobo Sánchez. Vocalists include La Tana, Ana Brenes, Joaquín "El Duende", and Ana Colom, alongside dancers Eli Ayala, Lorena Oliva, Marina Walpercin, Nacho Blanco, Vanesa Gálvez, Mathilde Antón, and El Tete.
