📖 A choreographic voyage across flamenco styles
Unlike typical tablao formats, Gran Gala Flamenco presents full choreographies crafted by acclaimed dance companies, exploring the expressive depths of flamenco as an intangible cultural heritage.
The audience experiences a wide spectrum of rhythmic patterns (palos): the cheerful bulería, the solemn soleá, the spirited alegría, along with tango, guajira, and farruca.
👥 Cast and artistic leadership
Artistic direction is led by Eli Ayala, with musical direction by Juan Gómez "Chicuelo" and Luis Santiago "Tati Amaya". The music features guitars by Chicuelo, Tati Amaya, Albert Caro, and Diego del Chicuelo, Carlos Caro on violin, and Jacobo Sánchez on percussion.
Vocals are delivered by cantaores La Tana, Ana Brenes, Joaquín "El Duende", and Ana Colom, accompanying dancers Eli Ayala, Lorena Oliva, Marina Walpercin, Nacho Blanco, Vanesa Gálvez, Mathilde Antón, and El Tete.
