📖 A choreographic journey through flamenco styles
Unlike traditional tablaos, Gran Gala Flamenco presents full-stage choreographies created by acclaimed dance companies from Catalonia and Spain. Featuring castanets, fans, original music, and striking costumes, the show evokes a sequence of profound emotions.
The repertoire travels across diverse flamenco "palos" (rhythmic patterns): from the festive and lively bulería to the solemn soleá, alongside alegría, tango, guajira, and farruca—rhythms celebrated as intangible cultural heritage.
🎶 Artistic ensemble and direction
Artistic direction is led by Eli Ayala, with musical direction by Juan Gómez "Chicuelo" and Luis Santiago "Tati Amaya". Guitars are performed by Juan Gómez "Chicuelo", Luis Santiago "Tati Amaya", Albert Caro, and Diego del Chicuelo, joined by Carlos Caro on violin and Jacobo Sánchez on percussion.
Vocals are brought by "La Tana", Ana Brenes, Joaquín "El Duende", and Ana Colom, while dancers include Eli Ayala, Lorena Oliva, Marina Walpercin, Nacho Blanco, Vanesa Gálvez, Mathilde Antón, and "El Tete".
