This traditional Christmas concert presents a festive musical celebration brimming with the spirit and elegance of the holiday season. The evening brings together the most festive and famous melodies by the Strauss family, known worldwide for their sparkling waltzes and lively polkas.

Alongside the works of the Strauss dynasty, the repertoire expands its scope with an engaging selection of dances from around the world. The programme offers an expansive rhythmic journey across orchestral traditions, enhanced by the vocal artistry of baritone Josep-Ramon Olivé performing with the symphony orchestra.

🎶 The performers and Simfònics al Palau

The concert is part of Simfònics al Palau, a regular symphonic series held at the Sala de Concerts of the Palau de la Música Catalana, dedicated to presenting major orchestral masterworks to Barcelona audiences.

The performance is given by the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès, a regular fixture at this venue, conducted on this occasion by Xavier Puig. Baritone Josep-Ramon Olivé joins the orchestra to create an uplifting seasonal experience inside this celebrated modernist concert hall.
