📖 Three perspectives on contemporary Parisian art
In Room 1, the exhibition "Paris in the 60s. What are images for?" examines the debate on the role of imagery during the 1960s, a period of social and political upheaval. Without contrasting styles, it presents a shared field of forces, from Narrative Figuration to images as autonomous objects.
Room 2 hosts "S 37. From Imprint to Abstraction", a recreation made by Peter Stämpfli 45 years after his original piece presented in 1981 at the Centre Pompidou, based on the geometric relief of a car tyre tread.
Room 3 displays "Big Works, Small Formats", bringing together 19 small-format works produced between 1960 and 2011 by artists such as Erró, Takis, Jacques Villeglé, Robert Combas, Pierrette Bloch, François Dufrêne, and Bernard Moninot, among others.
