📖 Spatial dialogue and modern vanguard
Through the advent of Cubism, Picasso revolutionised spatial representation by introducing perceptual dimensions rooted in geometry, science, and abstraction. The exhibition traces formal devices such as collage, fragmentation, superimposition, montage, translation, and transparency, demonstrating how this visual vocabulary decisively influenced modern architecture.
The display brings together major works where painting and architecture converge, notably Guernica, conceived for the Spanish Pavilion at the 1937 Paris International Exposition, and the friezes designed for the Col·legi Oficial d’Arquitectes de Catalunya. It also explores the intellectual dialogue between Picasso and Le Corbusier.
