📖 The enduring impact of the atomic era
Triggered by the detonation of the first atomic test in the New Mexico desert in July 1945, the atomic age unfolds across an elusive timescale. The exhibition delves into this experience of time and its intersections with science, politics, and culture through 20th and 21st-century art.
The display brings together nearly 250 works—including paintings, drawings, photographs, videos, and installations—alongside often unpublished documents, reflecting diverse responses to scientific progress and the controversies it sparks.
🎨 Creators and testimonies across two centuries
The project features pieces by artists such as Salvador Dalí, Marcel Duchamp, Hilma af Klint, Eduardo Chillida, Yoko Ono, Nancy Spero, Bruce Conner, Hélène de Beauvoir, Henri Becquerel, Jürgen Nefzger, Raymond Pettibon, and Joan Rabascall.
ℹ️ Good to know: Reduced admission is available for €4.
