📖 The exhibition

Perriand was one of the few women who made it into the great temple of modern architecture and urban design, Le Corbusier's Atelier, and not as a silent assistant but as a creator with a voice of her own, able to transform the logic of modern design.

From those early years she defended one central idea: that art, architecture and design are inseparable, a synthesis capable of changing the way we live. A principle that chimes naturally with the Fundació, where architecture and creation are conceived as a single experience.

🏛️ Perriand and Sert

The Barcelona presentation includes its own take on the relationship between Perriand and Josep Lluís Sert, the architect of the Fundació building. They met in 1928 at Le Corbusier's studio and kept up a close friendship and constant intellectual exchange for decades. Perriand attended the opening of the Fundació in 1976 at Sert's invitation.

ℹ️ Good to know: exhibition texts are in Catalan, Spanish and English. The Fundació is closed on Mondays. Reduced rates apply to students aged 13 to 25, over-65s and Barcelona library card holders, and entry is free for under-12s. The ticket also gives access to the permanent collection.
