📖 The exhibition
The show offers a concentrated approach to the conceptual universe of Anselm Kiefer (Donaueschingen, 1945), through a selection of around forty pieces from the private collection of Hans Grothe, one of the most important devoted to the artist, alongside works from other private collections.
It opens up the symbolic and material complexity of his work: lead, ash, straw, earth and dried plants turned into painterly matter, in an output shaped by history, mythology and the memory of post-war Germany.
🏛️ La Pedrera
Casa Milà, known as La Pedrera, is the last civil building Gaudí designed in Barcelona and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1984. Its exhibition halls host modern and contemporary art shows each season.
ℹ️ Good to know: exhibition texts are in Catalan, Spanish and English.
