📖 A journey between reality and fiction

The play portrays the life of an artist inspired by the legendary Chita Rivera, tracing her steps from her childhood in Puerto Rico to stardom on Broadway in titles such as West Side Story, Chicago, and Kiss of the Spider Woman.

Featuring live music and energetic choreography, the staging brings to light the hurdles, invisibilization, and personal battles faced along the way. The iconic roles she brought to the stage become internal voices that shape her identity, blending reality and fiction to narrate a deeply shared female experience.

Teatre Condal, situated on Barcelona's historic Avinguda del Paral·lel, hosts this show starring Ester Bartomeu, Queralt Albinyana, Xaro Campo, and Júlia Pérez, accompanied live by a four-piece band featuring double bass, piano, drums, and saxophone.
