📖 A timeless winter dream

Based on E. T. A. Hoffmann's tale adapted by Alexandre Dumas and premiered in St. Petersburg in 1892, The Nutcracker is a scenic poem intertwining Christmas and dreams. Tchaikovsky's iconic score guides audiences through the dreamlike journey of Clara and her toy soldier, featuring memorable pieces such as the "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" and the "Waltz of the Flowers".

This production features choreography and staging by Bridget Breiner, dramaturgical work by Armin Frauenschuh and Florian König, set and costume designs by Jürgen Franz Kirner, and lighting by Ingo Jooß.
