📖 Dissemination and dialogue on current topics
In this series of talks, researchers from the University of Barcelona share their expertise on pressing current issues. The sessions cover diverse subjects from multiple fields of study, approached with rigorous and interdisciplinary perspectives.
The series begins on September 30 with the talk "Reading life: 25 years of sequencing the human genome" («Llegint la vida: 25 anys de la seqüenciació del genoma humà»), marking the 25th anniversary of the publication of the first human genome sequence. This milestone revolutionized biomedical research and altered our understanding of health, disease, and biological diversity.
🏛️ Gatherings connecting research with the community
Organized in celebration of European Researchers' Night, the science cafés offer a two-way interactive format: the university provides the coffee and research, while the audience contributes dialogue, questions, and exchange of ideas.
✨ An engaging opportunity to discover leading scientific research through open and accessible conversation.
