🎻 The performers
Discovered by Herbert von Karajan as a teenager, Mutter has been at the top of the violin world for almost five decades. Israeli conductor Lahav Shani, one of the brightest of his generation, leads the Munich Philharmonic, an orchestra with over a century of history. After Brahms comes Schubert's "Great" C major Symphony, a work of colossal scale.

The Palau de la Música Catalana, Lluís Domènech i Montaner's Modernista masterpiece built between 1905 and 1908 for the Orfeó Català, has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. Its stained-glass skylight and stage full of muses make every concert unforgettable.
