📖 The Program: Pärt and Messiaen

The concert presents two profoundly spiritual works from the twentieth century. The program opens with Fratres, one of Estonian composer Arvo Pärt's most renowned compositions, marked by its meditative tintinnabuli style.

The centerpiece of the evening is Olivier Messiaen's monumental Quartet for the End of Time, an extraordinary piece conceived in extreme conditions during World War II for the unique combination of clarinet, violin, cello, and piano.
