📖 An intimate tale of survival across history
To live, one must first survive. Born in a small village in Ukraine, Rose's life has been shaped by turbulent world events. Now eighty years old and in mourning, she reflects on a gripping journey that took her from the Warsaw ghettos to the bright neon lights of the American dream.
Through her recollections, she recounts an unrelenting struggle against fanaticism. Her poignant story reminds audiences of how much has changed and how much still remains to be fought for, carrying powerful echoes of devastating contemporary conflicts that still claim lives today.
🎭 An internationally acclaimed play
First premiered at London's National Theatre in 1999, Rose went on to achieve major success in the West End and on Broadway before arriving on local stages. In this production, Carme Sansa undertakes one of the most demanding challenges of her career under the direction of Daniel Anglès.
✨ A powerful performance by one of the leading figures of Catalan theater in a truly unforgettable dramatic work.
