📖 The memory of Bellesguard across centuries
The route follows Joan de Gualbes i Copons, baroque poet, member of the Acadèmia dels Desconfiats, and 1714 combatant. As owner of Bellesguard, he preserved its medieval archives by safeguarding them at the Basílica dels Sants Just i Pastor from Bourbon forces.
Two centuries later, Antoni Gaudí uncovered the Llibre de Bellesguard there, enriching his architecture with profound symbolism. Courtesy of the basilica, participants will view this rare manuscript alongside the relic of the Vera Creu.
🎨 Three spaces linked by history
The morning session visits Torre Bellesguard, while the afternoon tour begins at Pati Llimona and concludes at the Basílica dels Sants Just i Pastor, retracing the influential Gualbes lineage from the 14th to the 18th century.
