📖 Melodies of the Northern Apennines

The breath passing through the reeds of the piffero and the accordion mirrors the cultural vitality of the Quattro Province, an Apennine crossroads spanning Genoa, Pavia, Alessandria, and Piacenza where distinct linguistic, culinary, and musical traditions intersect.

The piffero, played by Marco Domenichetti, and the accordion, performed by Yuri Domenichella, have long accompanied town celebrations, weddings, and community gatherings, carrying forward a rich musical heritage through generations.

This performance is part of the 33rd edition of La Taverna del CAT (+TRÀD Tardor'26), organized by Centre Artesà Tradicionàrius and Associació cultural TRAM, bringing folk and tavern concerts to the Gràcia neighbourhood.
