Nothing is more typical of the Barceloneta than its bomba, and all through October around twenty bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood serve it their own way. 💥🍺

This is the sixth edition of Barceloneta Tast, organised by the local traders' association ACIB with the support of the Ciutat Vella district.

🌶️ A bomba for every taste

The bomba is a ball of mashed potato filled with meat, fried and topped with spicy sauce and allioli. Each venue gives it a twist: the most traditional, such as La Cova Fumada's, considered the original and the hottest on the route; Jai-Ca's seafood version with rockfish and prawns; surf and turf with octopus and chorizo; well-travelled ideas like Golmaal's chicken pakora or Miski's causa; and even sweet and ice-cream bombas, with spicy chocolate or speciality coffee. Each entry shows how spicy it is.

🎁 Passport and prizes

With the route map you collect a stamp at each venue. Complete the passport, hand it in at Masicopy (c/ Atlàntida, 31) and you get the «Sóc la bomba» T-shirt, while stocks last.
