📖 The power of grime on stage

Barna Grime views grime as an open space of freedom and a tool for direct expression, channeling lived experiences and dissent through live interaction and the microphone. Much like jazz, its most authentic form takes shape through real-time dialogue with the crowd.

This bill brings together the Barcelona scene with the sharp beats and poetic storytelling emerging from the UK.

🎤 The artists taking the mic

Jayahadadream, a Jamaican-Irish rapper from Cambridge, stepped into music full-time after teaching criminology, quickly earning a MOBO nomination and winning the 2024 Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition. Following her mixtape Happiness From Agony and notable UK festival sets, she stands at the forefront of the new British rap wave.

Alongside her, the Barna Grime platform connects local audiences with the genre's authentic ethos, featuring Baix Llobregat multidisciplinary artist Gior Di, whose roots lie in skate and graffiti culture.

✨ An unmissable live showcase connecting contemporary British rap with Barcelona's underground.
