The Esquerra de l'Eixample takes to the streets with a festival run by the neighbourhood's own associations: eleven days of folk culture, music, sport and debate. 🥁🎉

It is coordinated by the network of local organisations and residents' associations, with events spread across courtyard gardens, markets, squares and venues such as the former La Model prison.

🎪 Highlights

On Friday 2 at 7 pm, the opening speech in the Jardins de Rosa Deulofeu, preceded by a parade of human pillars. On Saturday 3, the Diversity Festival with an LGTBIQ+ fair of organisations and shops, a children's fire run with drums, and a night food tasting with Catalan rumba. On Sunday 4, a bike ride and the 9th Gathering of Giants. On Friday 9, habaneras. On Saturday 10, the festival dinner and dance, the Falcons de Barcelona and open-air cinema. On Sunday 11, the closing concert with Silver Bluesers on Enric Granados (7 pm to 9 pm), and on Monday 12, an all-day botifarra card game tournament.

🏛️ A genuine neighbourhood festival

On weekdays the programme turns inward: play sessions for young children in the Jardins d'Emma and the square by the Germanetes market, outdoor qigong, workshops, a film forum in the yard of La Model, a visit to the air-raid shelters under Avinguda Tarradellas and debates at the Ateneu l'Àgora.
