Senyes d'Identitat: Photographic Portraits of Women at La Lira

The foyer of La Lira hosts a photographic exhibition that highlights the voice and vision of women confronting gender-based violence through visual arts. 🎨📸

On the occasion of 25N, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, Societat Cultural i Esportiva La Lira and Associació Hèlia present this collective project inspired by the life and work of Lee Miller.

📖 Photography as an instrument for expression and change

In this exhibition, twelve women who are survivors of gender-based violence use photography as a personal tool for creative expression and active social transformation.

The artistic starting point of the project is the discovery of the life story and photographic career of Lee Miller, serving as a guiding reference and creative spark for the participants.

🎨 Community collaboration in Sant Andreu

The works are displayed in the foyer of Societat Cultural i Esportiva La Lira, an established institution in the Sant Andreu de Palomar neighbourhood.

The initiative has been organised in partnership with Associació Hèlia, contributing to the commemorative actions surrounding 25N across Barcelona.
