📖 An unseen look into the maestro's Puerto Rican period

Pau Casals (1876-1973), cellist, conductor, composer, and committed peace advocate, was one of the most prominent musical figures of the 20th century. Between 1955 and 1973 he lived mainly in Puerto Rico, where he led ambitious international cultural projects, co-founded musical institutions, and sustained intensive artistic activity.

For the first time, this documentary testimony is revealed thanks to the archives preserved by Fundació Pau Casals and Fideicomiso Pablo Casals de Puerto Rico. The archive acts as the guiding thread, uncovering working processes, negotiations, and personal relationships.

🎶 150th Anniversary at the Museu de la Música

Presented during the Pau Casals Year, this exhibition highlights the historical memory and universal impact of this monumental artist.

ℹ️ Good to know: Closed on Mondays.
