📖 Queer ecologies and 19th-century processes
The exhibition explores intimacy, vulnerability, and queer subjectivities in dialogue with queer ecologies. The images were crafted on glass plates hand-coated with silver gelatin emulsion, subsequently printed and turned into orotones—a 19th-century process that shapes a neoclassical visual landscape where queer subjects take center stage.
Fragile glass serves as a metaphor to address the fragility of hegemonic masculinity alongside identities long kept at the margins of representation. In contrast to strength and self-sufficiency, the project embraces interdependence and kinship with the natural world, in resonance with María Zambrano's poetic reason.
🎨 Creation in residence at Can Basté
The project developed within the Can Basté Photographic Residency, reaffirming the community center as a key space for photographic research and dialogue.
✨ An artisanal exploration of vulnerability and the search for sanctuary.
