📖 Counter-monuments and restorative memory
The starting point of the exhibition is two object poems conceived by Joan Brossa as tributes that function as counter-monuments: pieces far removed from grand narrative gestures, dedicated to restoring the memory of victims rather than celebrating victors.
Through sculptures, photography, film, and sound installations, the exhibition engages with ideas of remembrance, permanence, and void, steering clear of epic tropes and monolithic formalisms.
🎨 The series and featured artists
'L'entrada a un bosc' marks the second installment of a cycle dedicated to Brossa's object poems. It showcases works by Joan Brossa, Tomaso Binga, Jason Dodge, León Ferrari and Ricardo Pons, Esther Ferrer, Annette Frick, Ruoxi Jin, Liz Magor, Bruno Pélassy, and Julia Spínola.
