📖 A journey into the heart of Balinese music and dance
"Bali, mon gamelan" blends photography, music, and dance to present the rich cultural heritage and community spirit of Bali. Through his photographs, Xavier Erruz captures ritual gestures, moments of daily life, and the island's profound harmony with nature and the sacred.
The exhibition is organized into two distinct sections: the first immerses visitors directly in the original environment of Bali, while the second looks at gamelan through a local Barcelona lens.
🎨 The Barcelona connection and Gamelan Barasvara
This local perspective is highlighted through Gamelan Barasvara, a resident orchestra at the Museu de la Música de Barcelona, showcasing how these musical traditions continue to thrive within the city.
Hosted at Biblioteca Jaume Fuster, the project provides a close encounter with communal art forms from Indonesia.
✨ A singular opportunity to discover the rituals, soundscapes, and communal spirit of Bali right in Barcelona.
