📖 Don Juan and Doña Inés reimagined
The premise begins with a shared nightmare: the ghosts of legendary Catalan comedians Mary Santpere and Joan Capri haunt the pair, demanding they revive the All Saints' Day tradition of staging Don Juan Tenorio. Terrified of losing their sleep, their mood, and their comedic flair, the duo reluctantly embarks on playing Don Juan and Doña Inés.
The production delivers an irreverent parody of classic theatrical tropes, tackling the legendary seducer tale with the cast's signature comedic style.
🎭 Artistic cast and creative team
The performance features an ensemble cast including Sílvia Abril, Andreu Buenafuente, David Olivares, Anna Bertran, and Roger Julià. Helmed by director Carles Sans, the show is performed in Catalan and Spanish at Teatre Coliseum on Barcelona's Gran Via.
