📖 A bird-inspired orchestral programme
The program brings together a collection of symphonic works dedicated to birdsong and avian imagery. The performance includes Ramon Humet's Escenes d’ocells, alongside Einojuhani Rautavaara's concerto for birds and orchestra, Canticus articus.
The evening continues with Ralph Vaughan Williams' romance for violin and orchestra, The lark ascending, featuring violinist Joan Espina, followed by Ottorino Respighi's suite Gli uccelli. The concert concludes with Xavier Pagès-Corella's own work, Cants al cel.
