📖 Grief and memory through Estellés's verses

Coral romput was born from the sudden death of Vicent Andrés Estellés's first daughter at just four months old. Across more than 1,200 alexandrine lines, the poet from Burjassot created a lyrical world where personal bereavement meets everyday life, his community, and profound nostalgia.

In this staging, the spoken word and music weave together seamlessly. Arquillué's delivery guides the emotional arc of the poem, while Coronado's guitar sets the pace, transitioning smoothly between accelerating descriptions and slow, reflective pauses.

🎸 A shared poetic and musical legacy

The performance pays homage to the historic 1979 recording by Ovidi Montllor and Toti Soler, as well as the 2007 production directed by Joan Ollé, which featured Arquillué. In this new staging, the actor partners with Coronado, a disciple of Soler, offering an original and personal rendition.
