Barcelona hosts a prominent academic gathering that brings together two major creative and spiritual universes under the Dante and Gaudí International Congress: the sacred, between poetry and art. An exploration of the links between literature, architecture, and transcendental thought. 📚🎨
This scholarly initiative brings together two complementary scientific activities: the 2nd edition of the colloquium "The Sacred in Gaudí" and the 3rd International Congress of the Institut de Recerca en Cultures Medievals (IRCVM) of the Universitat de Barcelona, framed within the Gaudí Year commemorations.

📖 The sacred between poetry, art, and architecture
The congress provides an interdisciplinary space focused on the concept of the sacred and its expressions in medieval art, literature, architecture, and thought. The meeting takes as reference points two cornerstone figures of European culture: Dante Alighieri and Antoni Gaudí.
Through various presentations and academic discussions, participants explore the intellectual and symbolic connections that bridge the Florentine poet's vision and the artistic and constructive conception of the modernist architect.
🏛️ Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau
The conference sessions take place at the historic Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau, a landmark architectural complex in Barcelona located on Carrer Sant Antoni Maria Claret.
