📖 The Ecological Footprint of the Digital World
Although hidden from everyday sight, data centers are crucial to modern life. These facilities store and process corporate, administrative, and banking data, as well as websites, media platforms, and messaging apps. This continuous technological processing brings serious ecological consequences.
In an era of rapid digitalization, this exhibition sheds light on what data centers truly are and details their socio-ecological impacts, exploring current trends and controversies. In addition, the opening on October 5 at 6:00 PM will feature a dedicated talk on the impact of data centers delivered by Agustí Emperador from Ecologistes en Acció.
