📖 The wit and stories of Pere Calders

Between words spoken, half-spoken, and perhaps invented, the stories of Pere Calders continuously play with appearances, mix-ups, and daily surprises. This staged reading traces the humor and inventiveness of an author who realized that reality is curious enough that sometimes one only needs to narrate it, or simply tell another story that closely resembles it. Some tales speak the truth, while others just explain it much better.

🎭 Dramaturgy, cast, and production team

The staging features dramaturgy and direction by Jordi Oriol, who also takes the stage alongside performers Laura Aubert and Carles Pedragosa. Musical direction is also provided by Carles Pedragosa.

This performance is a joint production between Institució de les Lletres Catalanes and Festival Clàssics, working alongside the technical and management teams of Teatre Nacional de Catalunya.
