📖 The wit and humor of Pere Calders

Between spoken words, half-said phrases, and perhaps invented terms, the stories of Pere Calders play with appearances, misunderstandings, and daily surprises. The evening offers a journey through the humor of an author who knew that reality is strange enough that sometimes simply telling it is all that is required.

Or telling another story that closely resembles it. The production reflects on how some narratives state the truth directly, while others simply explain it much better through fiction.

🎭 Direction and creative team

Dramaturgy and stage direction are by Jordi Oriol. The cast features Laura Aubert, Jordi Oriol, and Carles Pedragosa, who also directs the musical components of the reading.

The staged reading is produced by the Institució de les Lletres Catalanes and Festival Clàssics, in collaboration with the technical and management teams of Teatre Nacional de Catalunya.

ℹ️ Good to know: Free admission with advance booking starting October 5. Further details can be checked on the Institució de les Lletres Catalanes website.
