Most of us stop drawing as adults. Barcelona Dibuixa invites you to pick up a pencil again for one weekend, in museums and venues all over the city. ✏️🎨

Barcelona's drawing festival reaches its 17th edition with 48 artists and 48 venues taking drawing beyond paper and mixing it with dance, photography, architecture, nature and urban space.

🕐 Times vary by activity (see the programme)

📍 Museu Picasso and 48 venues across Barcelona

🎟️ All activities are free

🖍️ Highlights

At the Museu Picasso, Marina Sáez builds Jardí flotant with the public, a large hanging garden made with tempera and tissue paper, while Marco Noris's Dibuixar caminant turns walks around the neighbourhood into a collective map (Saturday 4 to 8 pm, Sunday 10 am to 2 pm).

Montdedutor links drawing and dance in Danses romàntiques at the Fundació Joan Brossa; Aleix Font Arroyo takes drawing to the Hivernacle of the Natural Sciences Museum; and street art arrives with Sixe Paredes at the Museu d'Història de Catalunya. Rocío Quillahuaman uses illustration to portray the people who live in Barcelona at the Museum of World Cultures.

🏛️ A festival for all ages

The festival champions drawing as a tool for creativity, learning, play and thinking. Museums, libraries, civic centres and art schools take part, and you don't need to know how to draw. Many activities are run in Catalan.

ℹ️ Good to know: many activities are drop-in; some have limited capacity. Check times and venues on the official website.

✨ A weekend to pick up the pencil again, without fear of the blank page.
