🎻 The performers

Álvaro Lozano Cames, a cellist of the new generation, shares the stage with pianist Natalia Kuchaeva. Falla's songs arranged for cello, the sonata by Polish-Soviet composer Mieczysław Weinberg and the Requiebros by Barcelona-born Gaspar Cassadó, one of the great cellists of the 20th century, make up a varied programme full of character.

🏛️ The venue

L'Auditori, designed by Rafael Moneo and opened in 1999 in the Fort Pienc neighbourhood, is home to the Barcelona Symphony and Catalonia National Orchestra and one of the country's great music venues. Its acoustics make it a regular stop for the world's leading orchestras and soloists. Sala 4 Alicia de Larrocha, the building's most intimate hall, is designed for chamber music.
