As part of the Cicle de Cobla a Barcelona 2026, the Northern Catalan ensemble Cobla Sol de Banyuls marks fifteen years of musical history, organized by Agrupació Cultural Folklòrica Barcelona.

📖 Tribute to Catalan music and sardanes

The anniversary concert showcases a selection of Catalan music pieces, predominantly sardanes, performed with the characteristic energy and sensitivity of the ensemble. The programme features works from their debut album, "El primer disc...", which was presented in Céret last July.

The performance will be conducted by titular director Francesc Cassú, with media communicator Joan Teixidor serving as the host and presenter for the evening.

Founded in 2011 by members of the Perpignan Conservatory and directors of music schools, Cobla Sol de Banyuls has built an artistic path rooted in technical excellence, fidelity to tradition, and an open perspective toward modernity.

This concert in the Sant Martí district brings the work of this Northern Catalan group closer to Barcelona audiences as part of the cycle dedicated to cobla music.
